Scraping Data on Used Bicycle Sales in US

Posted By admin

Project Title: Scraping Data on Used Bicycle Sales in US

Project Description:
I wanted to check in with you to see to run a project by you and see if you think it is possible.

We are trying to get data on used bicycle sales in the US. Ideally we would also be able to look at what types of bicycles are being sold and at what price. These bicycles are sold on sites like Craigslist, a site called Pinkbike, Facebook Marketplace, and ebay, as well as some other smaller sites.

The project would be to scrape used bicycle sales from eBay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace (and maybe Pinkbike buy sell page). I just wanted to see if you had experience scraping from any of these sites, and if you thought it would be possible / what type of data you think we could get.

Our ideal would be Used bicycle sales in North America (split by US and Canada if possible), Europe (with UK split out if possible), and be able to segment by type of bike (i.e. mountain bike) and / or price point (i.e. $1000+).

As a secondary point we would also like to be able to get this type of data for bicycle parts as well.

Let me know if you think this is possible, and please let me know how you would think about going about doing this for each marketplace. Thank you!
