Scraping Data from Expowest.com

Posted By admin

Project Title: Scraping Data verified from Expowest.com

Project Description:
Could you please have your team help me complete this data scraping/collection project?

For your reference: there is this big conference coming up with thousands of companies.

I am interested in companies who make products in ~25 categories (Asian, baby food, etc.).

I need to pull all of the information about those companies into an excel file so I can more easily analyze them.

Do you think that your team will be able to help me put all the information into the excel file I have attached?

Could you please have your team do it by 22:00 GMT (time in India)?

1. Go to http://www.expowest.com/ew17/Public/Exhibitors.aspx?Index=All&ID=1064971&sortMenu=115000 to follow data verification steps from this website.

2. Click on “Advanced Search”

3. Go to excel file, see: “Grocery (Expo West)” in column 1 and “Asian” in column 2.

4. Find the correct category on the web page and check the box:

5. Scroll down and click Search.

6. Go to the “Asian” tab on the excel file and populate the columns using the information on the webpage. If there are doubles (or multiples), for example, HEALTHEE and Korea Agro-Trade Center, no need to copy-paste data multiple times. Just do it for one and leave the rest blank.

7. Repeat the process for all of the categories on the “Summary” tab until all of the tabs have been populated. I have started the “Asian” category and “Baby Food” category for you to use as examples.

So I think I can do this myself in ~6 hours. If I use Upwork (a website to hire freelancers and data scrapers) Since I’m asking your team to do it ASAP.

Just like last time, after you send me the completed work, I will audit the work and then send the money. Thanks for the help.
