Scraping Automobile Websites – Cars.com, Copart.com, Vinauto.com & Iaai.com

Project Title:
Scraping Data verified by cars.com, copart.com, vinauto.com & iaai.com

Project Description:
I would like to get a cost estimate to retrieve data from a few websites on a weekly basis and possibly on demand during the week if the need arose.

The data we are interested in is automobile and non-commercial truck VIN numbers along with a few other data fields from salvage sites and sales/auction sites. An example of a few websites we are interested in for verifying scraped listings, but not limited to are:

vinauto.com
copart.com
cars.com
iaai.com

The data returned to us could be in multiple formats that we can discuss later, however, CSV format would be convenient.

We are interested in obtaining VIN number, make, model, year, sales or salvage vehicle, date it first appeared on the site, and the site it was retrieved from.

We could supply you with a list of vehicle makes and states we are interested in, however, if there is not a significant cost difference obtaining data on all states, all makes, then we would go with that option.

As mentioned above, this would be a continuous project and we would need to retrieve the data on a weekly schedule, possibly every 3 days business days.

The websites mentioned above allow the user to obtain vin information by make (and state if desired) but the data is paginated for multiple vehicles or for a single vin and this simply does not work for us. We need it in bulk so we can pull it into our database for further processing. Also the automobile picture is not needed.

Do you think there is anything you can do for us?

I look forward in hearing from you.

Feel free to email us on info@webscrapingexpert.com for similar automobile websites scraping.

I came across your ad while searching for API info on Carsdirect.com. I am not familiar with web scraping. What does it actually entail? Do you have the ability to scrape from Auto trader as well?

I am actually more interested in the results that are generated from this link: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/. I would like users on my site to be able to compare listings from AutoTrader with those of Cars.com and eBay.

    Thank you in advance!

I am currently in the process of looking to outsource the project of scraping data for the automotive industry in the UK. Do you currently have any sample data that you have done for automotive garages in the UK? We are looking at a number of options and would like to see how your data looks before making a decision on who to use for this process.
