Project Title: Develop a Web Platform (Application) to Scrap Google Scholar search Results

Project Description:
Develop a web platform (application) to scrap Google Scholar search results

Aim: Of interest is to design a non‐graphical simple webpage similar to Google with many search boxes where user can enter textual inputs acceptable by Google Scholar (GS) search engine to search within its database.

Desired Workflow:
1‐ Desired web interface is given in Fig. 1. Each table of output data should be saved in a sheet of ONE single CSV file, and to be downloadable.

2‐ Receive user entries in 1 to 6 search boxes, and treat each as to be within quotation marks. A tab button should jump to next search box. User can fill 1 box up to 6 boxes.

*For example if user sends these three queries in 3 search boxes:
Keyword 1 = blood flow
Keyword 2 = coronary artery
Keyword 3 = CFD

These are passed to Google Scholar (GS) as “blood flow” “coronary artery” “CFD”

*Exclude box if filled corresponds to (‐) Boolean operator in Google search. Following above example,
Keyword 1 = blood flow
Keyword 2 = coronary artery
Keyword 3 = CFD
Exclude = LBM “Left Circumflex”

These are passed to Google Scholar (GS) as “blood flow” + “coronary artery” + “CFD” – LBM – “Left Circumflex”

Note: any input in keyword boxes is treated as to be enclosed within quotation mark “”.

While in Exclude box, user has freedom to use “” or not. (see the example above)
